SoulMates.

Can your soulmate and the person you marry be 2 different people?

This is the question I am asking myself. I know many people believe that your soulmate is the person you are supposed to be with for the rest fof your life. Which I completely see that point. But I have some thought's of my own. First let me start by asking what is a soulmate? I believe that every one has their own definition of what they believe it is.

In my opinion a soulmate is someone who is a major part of your life & a person you do love. But I don't feel that it has to be someone you end marrying. I think a soulmate can be a friend that your close too. A person you confide in, need, care for, trust...A person you know is important to you. I know your thinking those are also the qualities you want in your signficant other, but when there are things going on in your life that also includes your s/o who do you turn too? Some friends we have even before we meet our s/o, their like constants in our lives.

And my next point is what about the people who marry, divorce, & somtimes repeat it a few times? I'm pretty sure at one time they all believed that person standing across from them at the alter was "the one" for them. Do they not have a soulmate? What about people who never marry, do they not have one either? Now don't get me wrong I'm not saying your husband/wife can't be your soulmate, I just think it's also possible for them to be 2 seperate people.

In a way I think this can also relate to loving someone & being in love with someone. There's a fine line between the two. At first I thought will if your soulmate isn't your s/o wouldn't you want to be with the other person? Thats where love comes in. Is that person the only person you wanna be with and have a life & family? Through out our lives we love alot of people, but how many were you in love with?

I guess to me a soul mate is a person who shares our purpose in life, complements our strengths, and supplements our weaknesses. Most importantly someone who shows you everything that is holding you back, the person who brings you to your own attention so you can change your life. Who's to say if that person is your significant other, friend, or even someone else who play's an important role in your life......

Think about it.

XOXO,
