Drake - Trust Issues

Here is another new track from my man Drake! You gotta love these lyrics:

Tell me how the f-ck we supposed to stay friends
When you got a bunch of feelings that you don’t show
I can tell, I can tell, I can tell certain people don’t like me no more
New shit don’t excite me no more
Guess they don’t really make ‘em like me no more

You can't tell me that's not good! I can't wait for his new album to drop! Take a listen & enjoy!

Konad Nail Plates.

I discovered the greatest thing ever for DIY nail art! Konad nail plates! I have been trying for the past few days to do a leopard nail print like this:

I went and bought nail art pens and everything! I just couldn't get it down! So I went to trusty Google and looked for tutorials and ran across Konad nail plates! You literally transfer the image onto your nail! Here are the instructions so you can see for yourself what I am talking about:

Like in the instructions you need a scrapper & stamper to get your desired design. I went online to order these things & they have so many plates! Each plate comes with 4 or 5 different designs and cost under 7 dollars! The stamper/scrapper set can be found for 4 bucks! You just have to do a little online searching for the best deals, but it's so worth it! The plates are metal which means you can use them over & over! Here is a picture of the actual plate I ordered, M57:

I can't wait to get my order in & try this out! If this product is as great as I think it is I will defiently be ordering more plates. Time will tell!

Change.

"All changes, even the most longed for, have their melancholy; for what we leave behind us is a part of ourselves; we must die to one life before we can enter another."

Eminem - Space Bound

I'm A Hazard To Myself.

Literally.

I'm so clumsy or something! It never fails that I hurt myself in some way, shape, or form! It's mostly my legs that suffer =/ Seriously my legs are covered in scars from various accidents. Once my brother pushed me into one of those bushes where the leaves are spikey. Not fun. And numerous times I fell on my knees.

& of course who can forget my new scar from the piece of glass! It STILL HURTS! It's completely healed on the outside. I think not so much on the inside, because it gets tender and swells if I use it too much. Ugh I'm telling you a hazard to my own self!

A couple days ago I was washing dishes and I had left the dishwasher door open and walked right into it. Signs of brusing started right away & now I have a bump WITH a scratch in the middle. I don't even know what to say. The worse part is I keep hitting it! So it extra hurts because I already have the bruise & cut.

But wait there's more! Today I somehow managed to claw my cut on my knee when I was filing my nails. So the side was open and bleeding, but thankfully it only hurt for a few seconds. Oh well I just like to consider them all battle scars lol. Merderma is now my new best friend!!!

Lil Wayne - How To Love

Teen Wolf.

Now I'm not talking about the old school movie with Michael J. Fox, but rather the new series on MTV. I usually don't watch any shows on MTV because their mostly reality shows and the actual tv series are dumb. But I saw the previews and sneak peeks and figured why not?! So far so good. Yes it has only been 3 episodes, but every episode keeps me wanting to watch more and have various questions answered.

The fight scenes aren't that good but hey you have to work with what you got! I like the characters, tho I question the casting of Lydia Martin's character. She is the popular boys girlfriend and to me she seems like that one nerd girl who studies all the time lol. That's just my opinion.

The main character is casted well. He is that down and out kid that no one really notices who gets transformed into some super strength "thing." Now that I think about it it's typical, but it works. I love the casting of Derek Hale. He has that bad boy edge. He seem's so suave and cool yet scary, because he is so mysterious. My new found crush? I think so!

The 4th episode of the season comes on tonight and I will be setting a tv reminder & making sure my neighbor reminds me when its that time. I got him hooked on it :) Hi Jose!!! I suggested it to him and viola! It actually works out because if I miss something or just wanna talk about the the show I can! & in the words of Martha Stewart, "It's a good thing."

Teen Wolf airs Monday's on MTV 9c/10e.

Father's Day.

What Is A Dad?

A Dad is someone who wants to catch you before you fall, but instead picks you up, brushes you off, and lets you try again.

A Dad is someone who wants to keep you from making mistakes, but instead lets you find your own way, even though his heart breaks in silence when you get hurt.

A Dad is someone who holds you when you cry, scolds you when you break the rules, shines with pride when you succeed, and has faith in you even when you fail...

There are no words to describe how important my father is to me. He has done that & so much more. He will never know how much he means to me & how much I appreciate him.

I love you Dad.
Happy Father's Day to all the Dad's out there!

Foreign Films/Dramas.

I LOVE foreign films & dramas. I watch alot of Korean dramas & I can't help but watch Asian horror movies. Yes they aren't usually scary or that good, but there so much better than American ones. Actually alot of American movies are based on Asian movies! Now the dramas are GOOD! You seriously will feel EVERY emotion. Happy, sad, mad, everything. I cry alot usually! Lol. The storys are good & these actors really know how to play the parts to convey the story.

For example: I'm watching a Japanese drama called Crazy For Love. Its about a woman who's fiancee is killed by a drunk driver the day before their wedding! (Told you their tear jerkers!) Well the driver goes to jail and 7 years later ends up working where she does. Here comes the crazy/good part, THEY FALL IN LOVE!

Thats just the bare main part but their are also other side stories of course. I am only on episode four so, so far she doesn't know it was him, but I'm sure she has to find out. But you can get an idea about the story lines they come up with! I have already cried 4 times watching this!

Here is the link if anyone wants to give it a watch:

I'll also post links to various movies & dramas to share with everyone as I come across them! I just hope you enjoy them as much as I do!

Food For Thought.

So I came across this quote by Thomas Merton that I want to share with everyone,

"The beginning of love is to let those we love be perfectly themselves, and not to twist them to fit our own image. Otherwise we love only the reflection of ourselves we find in them."

It seriously has me thinking. It is so deep and has me thinking about past relationships in a new light. I think it says alot, not even about the other person but more about yourself. Sometimes it truly is good to reflect about ones self.

You do not know how happy I was last night to witness my Mavericks win the NBA Finals. They deserved it! They played with a lot of heart and worked as a team!

Congrats to my man Dirk for winning MVP! There is no one who deserved it better!

Drizzy...

So I love Drake. He is one of my favorite artist, and no I did not first see him on Degrassi! I haven't even seen one episode of the show! But I do know he's character was named Jimmy & apparently he was in a wheelchair. My brother watched okay!

His sophomore album, Take Care, is set to be released on October 24th. We should hear the first single sometime in July. But until then a song has leaked onto the world wide web!

It's called Marvin's Room! Take a listen.

Guitar Creation

If you have been on Google today you may have noticed the cool way they spelled out Google with guitar strings. Well if you haven't noticed you can actually play music! How cool is that?! It gets even better! You can record what you play and share a link of your recording!

I have no idea how to play a guitar so I just messed around, but here is my try at it:

My Creation

If you have a bit of free time, or even alot, try it out and have some fun!

In My Heart

One year ago today something unexpected happened....I was visiting my Uncle, who was leaving back to NY, when my mother got phone call from my dad. It was a call that I never expected, but at the same time should have been prepared for.

A little background:
I am very close to my neighbors who live across they street. & they had a grandson who is my age that was in the Marine Corps. I met him after he graduated boot camp and we dated for a year. Even tho we weren't together & life took us in different directions there was no doubt that we both cared about each other. To be honest I thought we would be together again one day. Well the harsh reality is that war does not follow rhyme nor reason, it just is.

That phone call was to tell me that Zach had been killed in Afghanistan. He had been in country for 20 days. He and another fellow Marine were both killed a year ago today. It took a week for me to realize that I wouldn't see him walk acros the street barefoot to my house again. It was a hard time, it still is. I dealt with alot of feelings during that time but there was one thing I was always sure of, I was so very proud of him. He accomplished alot in the 5 years he served. He grew into such an incredible man. The Marine Corps was his calling, it was who he was.

I am thankful for the time I got spend with him, for the memories I will always have of him. I consider myself lucky to have met him & been able to call him mine for a little while...

Life is eternal, and love is immortal,
and death is only a horizon;
and a horizon is nothing save the limit of our sight.

Ignorance Is Bliss

I think back about the choices I have made thus far in my life & I have to say I don't regret anything I have done. Have I agreed with every choice, no. Am I happy with some of them, no. But it all comes down to learning. Learning means growth. And in order to learn you have to experience. Every single choice I have made has taught me a lesson. Yes some lessons I didn't like but none the less I learned.

Now the secret to learning and growing is to actually LEARN from the choices you have made. Sometimes its easier to ignore whats right in front of you & fall back into what your used too, but that doesn't allow you to grow! I know from experience that if you just go back to what your used to you won't be happy in the long run. Yes for a little while you can be & you can even fool yourself into thinking that you are, but deep down you know you aren't.

It amazes me how simple it is to be happy. You just have to know how to pay attention to yourself and the experiences you have had. I think it's sad when people choose not to learn and grow. Why would they want to keep falling back into what has ultimately not worked for them and made them unhappy? But like they say ignorance is bliss & I'm just glad to not be one of them.

Live, Learn, Grow!

GO MAVS!

So my team just robbed the Heat DIRTAY!! I loved it! It was an intense game and the Mavs really had me going, but they were able to pull it out in the end! & THANKS TO WHO??????

DIRK NOWITZKI!
That is the photo of the game winning shot - BEAUTIFUL!!
GO MAVS!!!!

Oh My Leg!

Actually my knee! So I am injured & have been laid up in bed for 4 days. Now don't get me wrong I like to be lazy but atleast I can walk properly! I have to keep my left leg straight as much as possible. Hence the not doing anything for 4 days now. & I know what your thinking, "how the hell did you do that?"

Well I did it on a piece of glass. I broke a diffuser in my friends restroom and glass shattered EVERYWHERE! I bent down to pick up glass and ended up placing my knee on a shard. It bled everywhere. I was seriously freaking out. Good thing my handy bf was there to try & stop the bleeding. Seriously it was a mess all over my friends bathroom floor.

But no worries I am now on the mend! I just owe my friend a diffuser! So my lesson for this post is......use a broom to sweep up glass!

XOXO,
