I had something interesting happen to me at work on Friday. I received a gift from A Cottage Florist. Someone actually had them deliver a single rose & white teddy bear to me at work. I really was taken by surprise! I had no idea when the guy came that it was for me! i just heard him ask for Stephanie & i was like wait what?! It was really so sweet! The only thing is I have no idea who sent it! Yes, I received a card...

See the question mark =/ I don't even know who it's from! I mean I have a few people in mind, but unless that person fesses up I won't ever really know! Part of me wants to know & part of me doesn't lol! I know that seems weird but I don't wanna know & have to hurt the guys feelings! It really is sweet tho! I love the teddy bear! I named him Snowball since he is so white! SO the question is will the mystery person reveal himself or no???

Company Property.

I never really have many complaints about my job, and this post isn't really a compliant. It's more of a "vent" post. It seems from day 1 at Grocer's I have become "property." I bet your thinking what the hell do you mean by that. I mean that I can no longer do anything while I'm at work or even talk to drivers without news getting around. News about me even travels to Houston drivers! They literally come inside the office for a total of like 10 minutes. But yet they are each called to be told the latest news.

I know you want examples, right? I don't blame you I would too lol! My first example is back from the first week i started working at Grocers. One of our drivers forewarned every Houston driver that came thru not to talk to me, because I was "his." Wth right?! It also came to my attention that when I first started there after the first day news of me had already traveled to every driver even the ones I don't see(PM drivers). See how my 'coworkers" are possessive!

My second example is that I frequently go to lunch with the mechanic at work. He's a older guy who is older then my grandpa! Yet he gets picked on by a few of the drivers about going with me to lunch. How insane is that?! He's a old dude, seriously! Plus he knows that nothing would happen between us! I just think he's a cool guy that's it! i don't go to lunch with him as often and not because of the other guys, but because I was putting on some weight eating out all the time. Not good at all.

My last example of their jealousy/possessiveness is that I can't even talk to any one of them a lot. Once they notice that I talk to one person a lot they start picking on them and telling them they are bugging me & to leave me alone! Such bullies! Now all of these things I never even knew about until later. Slowly certain guys would tell me what was going on, but not who were the ones doing these things. But recently I started witnessing it myself. Today I was talking to a driver that I enjoy talking to & one of the dispatchers literally tried shooing him out & telling him to leave. I was like wow really? Unfortunately it is reality lol.

Oh & today left work for a bit to run an errand with Cheryl, my coworker, and apparently a Houston driver didn't see me so he called a fellow Houston driver told him I wasn't there. Now that is hilarious! Now they are keeping attendance on me! When will this madness stop?! I don't see how they can act that way when I'm not anyone of their wives/girlfriends! Damn crazy men. Yes I said it!

I had a request for this blog post lol. What I haven't really shared is that once upon a time I was engaged. Yes I know lucky guy huh?! LOL. I showed him my blog & he was offended that I didn't mention him in any post especially one's that were inspired by him! Your probably thinking, "wth you showed your ex fiancee your blog?!" Yes I did! I'm comfortable enough with him to let him read anything & everything I have posted thus far. We're cool like that.

He 7 I were together for almost 3 years. The LONGEST years of my life! Nah I'm just kidding. They were actually really great. I have A LOT of wonderful memories from our time together. Seriously if I got started talking about everything it would take numerous blog post. Seriously no one would wanna read anything. What I do wanna share is 1 or 2 nice moments we shared & how much our relationship changed me as a person. I know he's readying this & thinking "oh hell." Don't worry K it won't be as bad as you think! :)

First let me start by saying I knew him since high school but to be honest I didn't like him lol. Everyone always gets a good laugh about that. However we did go to a Mac Homecoming together! Unfortunately all of the pics from that night are blurry! I remember it was rainy and cold. We went to eat at Olive Garden then went to see Jack Ass. LMAO. You know what I won't every forget?! That he was my date but didn't even compliment me first! One of our other friends did then he did! And don't try to argue with me Kendrin! You know its true!

Kendrin & I didn't get together until after high school. About 2 years went buy whenever we got back in touch with each other thanks to Myspace! He was in Iraq when we started talking just as friends. He was in a completely different time in his life at the time. Obviously he came home & we ended up going to the movies together. Worst mistake ever! If I woulda known.......lol jk. I wish I could remember the movie we saw but I do remember going to eat at Taco Cabana! Lol. Honestly after that night on we were always together. At least until he had to go back t California. It's kinda crazy how everything developed now that I think about it.

You know what really made my parents mad at the both of us? I went to visit him one weekend in December to go to the Military Ball & never came back. Like literally I was like f it I'm staying here with you. My parent's were more than upset/pissed. I did come home for the holidays tho! & packed up my stuff and relocated! Everyone always thinks that was so crazy, but hey the things we do for love! When I first lived there it was horrible because I was so homesick! I cried all the time lol! I'm sure you remember Kendrin!

The one thing that was so wonderful was that we were always so in love. Our friends always told us that eventually it would wear off but honestly it never really did. They were just jealous because they weren't like us! This might be TMI but I always loved that we showered together. It was out couple thing. I remember how he wouldn't be able to go to sleep unless I was laying next to him. At the time that was so annoying & i would lay there till he fell asleep then get up & play on the computer lol. Now that I think about it, it was probably one of the sweetest things ever.

Other great memories I have is when we went to Disneyland before he deployed to Iraq. Great time! Really a place everyone should go! Even tho we didn't do so much there it was so cool! I got the Minnie ears that you must get if you go! Oh and the Bugs Life ride thing was amazing! I still remember that trip like it was yesterday! I know you don't K! Okay you probably do! I think for me the greatest moment was when he came back from Iraq safe & chunky lol! He looked so good with the weight on him! He's naturally tall and lanky so all those MRE's did his body good lol.

I'm not gonna lie those 7 months went by fast for me. Probably because I was busy working so I had that on my mind as well. I never really worried much either which sounds weird I know. The reason is that I was fortunate enough to be able to talk to him practically everyday! Thank you satellite phones! Yea you dropped our calls a lot but you got the job done! I remember when Kendrin came home it was late at night & it was freaking cold! My bff drove me from Oceanside to 29 Palms & waited with me. Awww such good memories. Kendrin actually came home on my birthday. So perfect I know!!

Seriously I could go on and on and on! Don't get me started on pics either lol! This won't be my last post about him. Too many memories, experiences, lessons to just sum it all in one post or even any post. There is something I do wanna say. Regardless of what happened between us or what will happen I will always love him. We went thru alot & I experienced so much that there is no way I can't think about him & not smile. For that, thank you Kendrin. Thank you for more than you will ever know.

Employee Of The Month.

You read that headline right. I am the Employee of the Month at my staffing agency. I had a voice mail on my phone saying I was chosen, because of my perfect attendance & punctuality. What did I receive you ask! A plaque & a $25 Visa gift card. The plaque is actually really nice I might add. I won't be hanging it up lol but I will be keeping it! Now the funny part. I was looking over my gift card & on the front it says, "No Fees After purchase." Then you turn it over & it says, 'A $3.95 Activation Fee Will Apply." LMFAO WTH?! So basically I only got a gift card for $21.05. Oh well lol. I'm gonna use it for gas instead of buying junk.

Lesson I learned today: It pays off to be a good worker lol Even tho I got jilted in the end, no hard feelings :)

Growing up I have always been sheltered. My parent's raised my brother & I very well, at least I think so lol! We both did well in school & for the most part never caused too much trouble. I was probably the most obedient out of my brother & I. I always did everything I was told, because I wanted my parents to be proud of me. I always wanted them to be able to brag about me & say all these wonderful things. Don't say you never felt the same way because I know your lying! Lol!

Now there is only 1 major flaw. They always expect you to do it. Even as you get older they still want you to listen to them & do as your told. Can you see the problem with that? Now at 25 yrs old I am dealing with that problem dead on. It sucks lol! Normally when your my age you have your own separate life from your parents and/or family. Yea not me. They wanna be in EVERY aspect of my life. & they also think that I should do what they approve of.....

*sigh* Frustrating to say the least. I feel like I'm a teenager rebelling against my parents. Isn't that a crazy thing for a 25 year old person to say? I mean I have no children or a husband yet. So why do I have to not do certain things because my parent's don't approve? It gets worse. If I do something they don't like they guilt trip me & talk down about whatever it is. See how they try to be tricky to get there way?

So what do I do? I get that they wanna see me do good, but sometimes we gotta make our own mistakes, if they turn out that way, to learn & grow. I found this quote online that I have to share,

Horrible Person.

So one of the guys at work is named Jesse. Now he loves to be smart with me & give me "looks." Now I'm not gonna lie he is an attractive guy so I can't say that I mind. Real talk lol. He's a pretty funny guy so I enjoy talking to him, because it's guaranteed something crazy is going to come out of it! Well the other day when I went to lunch we noticed a dead bird in the fence. Apparently it got caught & died =/ Poor thing. I wonder why no one tried helping the thing out!

Anyway when Jesse was leaving work he noticed it on the floor & at that same time I happened to glance out & guess what I saw???? HE KICKED IT! YES KICKED A DEAD BIRD!! I was like WTF!!! I told Cheryl & she was like WHAT?! I couldn't believe he kicked the poor bird, dead or not! I confronted him the next time I talked to him & his excuse was that he didn't know it was dead because the wind was making it move around. Seriously if it was alive I'm pretty sure it would have been flapping its wings crazily! He also said he nudged it! I was like hell no! I know the difference between a nudge & a kick! He was just laughing & laughing...damn liar lol!

I kept calling him a horrible person so he left lol! Well when I got off he had left a note on my windshield saying, "Don't hate!" LMAO! I was like wth! He's the bad person! So I had an idea. I went today & bought a fake bird! I'm gonna leave it on the windshield of his car with a note saying, "Don't kick this one!" LMAO! Cheryl gave me idea to write that & I knew it was perfect! I wonder what he's gonna say after lol! The only thing that could ruin it if it rains! I could put it in a Ziploc bag......lol jk!

I wanna pose a question. In a relationship does age matter? I know this is more of a question that depends on the relationship. But over all can it work? I know the biggest factor is what can you have in common with someone younger/older? I also wanna say that communication is key!
That's with every relationship that you have romantic or not!

For me i think that the most important thing is how you feel. If you care enough about this person to take whatever problems may arise then who's to say it won't work? All relationships have problems regardless. If your willing to stick with this person thru thick & thin who is anyone to judge. Unfortunately there will always people who judge you and the choices you make. That's when having a strong and stable relationship comes to play.

I think with a relationship with an age difference the biggest factor will be what is said by friends & family members. In a perfect world they would be happy with who you were with as long as they knew you were happy. But that's not how it is lol. That's a unfortunate reality. They say they will support you but what they mean is they will support you if its something that makes them happy. If you don't think so then seriously stop & think about it.

My answer to my own question is this: I don't think it's right to count anyone out. Whether it's because of age, race, standing, etc... Life is too short for "what ifs" so if your happy then go for it, In the end it's either going to work or its not. Take it as a learning experience & move on. & most importantly stand strong 7 don't let others judgments or opinions get you done. it's your relationship not theirs.

Lately I have had 0 patience. I honestly don't know why. I feel bothered by things lately. It's more of just being asked a ton of questions. One thing I hate is being asked about EVERY little thing I do. I don't see what I do with myself a concern for anyone else but me. If I chose to let someone know what's going on with me I will willingly tell you. The worse way is to try and pry & ask a million questions. In those situations my patience goes to nonexistent lol.

I get that part of my temperament from my Dad. Thankfully I am not as bad as him, but I have my moment's lol. Sometimes I know that I'm doing it & try my hardest to restrain myself. Key word TRY! I wanna say that it starts with being annoyed but I can't because it doesn't go through a cycle, just to question = annoyed. My personal equation right there lol! But seriously I need to consciously try and be better about it. One day I'm gonna snap & Its not going to be pretty for me or whoever it is lol!

I realized lately I have had no free time for ANYTHING! The only time I can do things is Friday after work & Saturday. I don't have Sunday's because it's football Sunday DUH! Can not miss hanging out with my cousin's watching football all day & eating good food! I get off ai 4:30 so your probably like then go after work! Right?! Well no because I am tired & don't wanna be out running errands. Some day's I can when I feel pretty good and don't feel like crashing out. That's not very often tho lol!

So honestly Saturday's are the days that I can try and get things done.....unfortunetly it never seems like enough time! I always forget or can't do something in that one day. Can you see why I am tired? & don't get me started on my sleeping habits. I am finding myself going back to my bad habits! I honestly don't know why! Maybe I need to cut down on the kpop jam sessions =/ Okay that's not gonnaa happen lol!

Basically my point is I have no life.
Who knew growing up was so tiring ;p

I have a problem.
A shopping problem.
Since I have started working I have been pretty careful with my spending, but I can tell I am slipping! HELP!!!!! Thankfully I still make sure to put up a lil bit from every check! But that's not the problem! It's spending the left overs! Ugh! I only had a problem till this past weekend, but with this new make up sale I saw I'm like ughhh! But seriously buy 1 get 1 free! For under 30 bucks I can get 8 pieces of make up! & if you don't know make up is expensive! You can spend 6 to 8 dollars on one piece! So come on seriously is that buy 1 get 1 free not a steal or what???? So okay I have to get this sale before it ends, BUT after that I promise to do better!

So apparently I look Filipino. I get that A LOT! Even today I was asked if I was Filipino. I think I might just start saying yes & got with it lol! Seriously! It's the number one race I get confused for. I remember when I used to enjoy the nightlife all the time I used to get Filipino or Asian all the time! Asian guys would always stare at me with those looks like "is she or isn't she?" I would even have guy friends that would just introduce me to people as Asian among other things!

Now at work, mostly the black men, think I'm Asian! They swear that somewhere in my blood line I am! I think its the small eyes & round round face. Those attributes are compliments of my Dad's side of the family. My aunt's and uncle's have even smaller eyes then me! I just think it's funny, because it's something I hear ALL the time. So maybe every once in a while I will just go with it & see how it goes lol

Well they're not dangerous things just things that come along with my job...

1. Paper Cuts
Seriously they freakin hurt! I do A LOT of filing & well paper cuts are inevitable.

2. My Feet Falling Off
Not literally but I stand ALL day! The only time I really sit is on my 30min lunch break!

3. Ogled
I work with mostly men. Enough said.

Funny story about #3. I was doing p.o. envelopes & one of the workers that I don't really see much came in. Well where I stand they have shelves where they turn in their daily paperwork. So of course he says hi & I ask about his day then he ask if I'm learning anything, because he saw all the paperwork in front of me. Well after I said yes he literally stared at me for a minute. LMAO! I kept on doing my work tho I wasn't going to let him stop me, I just found it so hilarious! I thought to myself, "If you wanna stare at me at least have some sort of conversation with me!" Right? I mean I'm pretty polite & can easily talk to anyone so unless a cat caught his tongue he shoulda asked me something or made a comment! Oh well.....it coulda been worse!

I've made a decision about Mark.

If you don't know who "Mark" is I'm disappointed! He's like an important piece of my life lol! Anyway I've decided that Mark is over due for some TLC! Now that I'm working I'm going to start fixing him up! I want him to run as best as he can, because right now he isn't doing so hot! LOL! After I get all the maintenance things done then I'm moving onto appearance!

I wanna be able to drive Mark around for a while, so I'm really eager to get him in top condition! I promise y'all I'm going to drive him until he won't start! Honda's are decent cars so he should last a while! First thing on my to do list is get a Cadillac converter installed......Good bye $200. If my pocket could feel pain it would be saying ouch right now!
